Legislative Committee

The Committee serves as the primary body within PCFMI for reviewing proposed laws, advocating industry positions, and ensuring that legislative frameworks support the sustainable growth and competitiveness of the industry.

Objectives

The Legislative Committee aims to:

Monitor and assess proposed legislation and policy changes relevant to the food manufacturing industry.

Develop industry positions on legislative matters and recommend advocacy strategies.

3

Engage with lawmakers, government agencies, and industry stakeholders to represent the sector’s interests.

4

Provide legislative updates and guidance to PCFMI members.

5

Ensure that industry concerns are well-articulated and considered in policymaking processes.

  • Vice-Chairperson(s): Supports the Chairperson and assumes leadership in their absence.
  • Members: Provide insights, contribute to legislative initiatives, and actively participate in engagements.
  • Secretariat: Coordinates meetings, maintains records, and supports communication efforts.
