On December 5, 1958, the Philippine Food Chamber of Manufacturers, Inc. (formerly the Chamber of Filipino Food Manufacturers, Inc.) was organized by some of the most respected names in food manufacturing and food service in the country.
Since then, the Chamber has been serving as the food industry’s voice in articulating and documenting its position on all issues that threatens its growth and development, especially when the industry is over-regulated by government.
To date, the Philippine Chamber of Food Manufacturers, Inc. (PCFMI, or also known as the PH Food Chamber) is the principal organization of manufacturers and distributors of food products in the Philippines, with the responsibility of providing consumers safe, nutritious and affordable processed food products compliant to local and international standards and regulations. We are one of the founding members of the ASEAN Food and Beverage Alliance.
As PH Food Chamber, we focus on the needs of our members, the food industry, as well as other stakeholders, especially on regulatory issues and concerns. We collaborate with relevant government bodies, i.e. DOH-FDA, DOST-FNRI, DTI, DA, National Codex Organization, BOC and other relevant agencies to provide technical support and industry inputs aligned with PCFMI’s advocacy.
