Legislative Committee

The Legislative Committee was formed by the board of directors during the PCFMI Strategic Planning Session last 30 April 2014. The Committee is in charge of the following tasks:

• Legislative Monitoring– Monitor and assess House and Senate bills, attend committee hearings and submit a position paper, if necessary
• Participation in Technical Working Groups (TWGs) involved in drafting of IRRs – to ensure consistency of IRR with the provisions of the law
• Information, Education and Communication (IEC) of pending legislation which may impact the food industry
